Minimal Skincare

Now, I’m not a skincare geek, and I never have been, bit everyone’s skin needs some lovin’. I’ve found a regime that is simple and quick so I don’t need to put much thought or time into washing my face. There’s no need to have 10 different lotions and potions for your face. In my opinion, it’s a waste of space and your time. I’ve found a couple of products that work wonders for my skin, and are simple and easy to use so here they are:

Coconut oil

This shiz is the bomb. I use it for pretty much anything. It’s a face moisturiser, make up remover, hair serum, and a body moisturiser. Heck, you can even put it in your dinner. I use coconut oil for:

  • A moisturiser on my face before I put my make up on – I pop a little bit on my fingers and let it melt into my skin.
  • Lip balm – easy enough. Make up remover at the end of the day – I pop some on a cotton pad an wipe it over my face to remove my makeup
  • Body moisturiser – especially after shaving, it’s natural and doesn’t irritate my skin further.
  • Hair – When my hair is a bit frizzy I melt some in my hands and smooth it over my hair.

Cure aqua gel

There’s a reason this stuff is one of the best selling skin care products in Japan. It’s a little hard to get your hands on outside of Japan, but sites like Amazon do stock it at a bit of an inflated price. It’s a liquid exfoliator with no beads, the gel itself attracts dead skin cells, as you rub the gel in the skin comes off. There’s some controversy online about it, but I’m convinced this stuff works. My skin feels so much better after using it. I use it 2-3 times a week to exfoliate, and it works a treat.

And that’s all I use! There’s no need to fluff about with fancy serums and scrubs, our skin can look after itself pretty well. Stay hydrated and love yourself and it will love you in return.
